In the Dominican Republic developed the Dominican Winter Baseball League (LIDOM), is currently the highest quality professional league in the Caribbean and Central America and takes place in the autumn-winter season. LIDOM has 6 teams that regularly compete for a championship, a semifinal and a final series which determines the national champion.The teams belonging to this league are Aguilas Cibaenas, Tigres Del Licey, Leones Del Escogido, Estrellas Orientales, Toros Del Este and Gigantes Del Cibao.
In the Dominican Republic baseball are very popular because is a principal sport for enjoyed the people. Licey is the older teams in this country.

Las Aguilas Cibaeñas has been won 20 competitions.
Las Estrellas Orientales has been won 3.
Los Toros del Este has been won 1.
Los Gigantes del Cibao have not won any so far. Almost every year the final are between Las Aguilas and Licey, I think that’s because they are the best.The teams who win the final series at the country go to la Series del Caribe in representation of the Dominican Republic. I think that the baseball in the Dominican Republic is a business because the people do not respect the others and if anyone annoying to owners of the teams they get fired, so if someone is not the accord can express about that because if not want to lose the position have to stay stay silent.
