Everybody have a dream but in my case I have a special one. I have always dreamed of having an excellent clothing company. The style of those clothes has to be modern. 

The name of my company will be GFC. It means Girl Fashion Clothes. Why this name? Well, first of all because the clothes we make will be for girls and they will be fashionable.

I prefer women's clothes because girls always are needing and buying things. They could have their closets full of things but they still want more. They love to buy new styles specially the ones that are on fashion but they don't know that every period of time will be created a new one. This is the reason my company will be a successful one.

This is my dream because I like to be on fashion and to have a cloth for each occasion . I'm sure that the majority of women are like me.

1. Mario is a little bit weird. He is always distant and never likes to share and go out with friends. I think he is aloof. 

 

 

2. My old sister has a catchy name. I always remember her funny name.

 

3. Nowadays, people are fusing names to their children. For instance, Fabio + Laura= Fabiola.

 

4. I am use to do things in a straightfoward manner. My mother does not agree because she thinks it is a lazy way to do it.

 

5. Michael and Rodrigo are very playful. They like joking and bothering all the time.

Urban Legends

Urban Legends

Since I remember I have always heard of different legends of different places. In my personal opinion, urban legends are a way to add emotion to our lives. A normal life is boring. We sometimes need to hear something out of the blue. Some places have a way to say their story/culture. These stories are repeated so many times that they become true.

In our country, Dominican Republic, there is a legend called a Baca. A Baca is a kind of monster just like a dog. This monster is designed to protect the harvest or livestock in a farm. The owner of this monster summons it when he is not around or when he is sleeping.

Many other stories or legends like this are around the world and they came from one specific place. Some are funny and some are not. Listen to them and enjoy them.

Baseball (J-BALL)

Baseball

         Baseball is a sport played around the world. Most people like baseball because it is an interesting sport. However, I really don’t like baseball. I think it is a business like any other in the market. I was a real fan of Dominican baseball, but once my favorite team was at the final and ended up with one of those teams with no opportunities to win. That team won 4 in raw, with just one more and my favorite team was going to lose. And then, my favorite team won, however I saw it as a way to make more money as more games played.

        Therefore baseball is not one of the sports I like any more, just because of that season, I like to be fan, but not a fan unconscious. 

UNIT 2 -URBAND LEGENDS

                    URBAND  LEGENDS: are histories that people create.


   I learned too many new words in this unit such as:


Dawn of language: beginning of language.

Formal gown: a formal dress.

Cluttered: full of things.

Novel: a short book.

Unheard: something you never hear before.

Thoroughly: complete.

Evil: something bad.

Beware of: be careful.

Gruesome: something terrible, very bad, inhuman.

Traced: to follow.

Kitten: a little cat.

A recipient: a person who receives something.

Suburb: a place where rich people live.

UNIT 1 J-BALL

                                     

                         MY FAVORITE SPORT

I like to watch many sports but the one that I like the most is BASEBALL. I think that baseball is part of my life because I feel quite excited when I am watching a game. of course, as I am a very busy person I just can watch it when I am on my free time.

 

Baseball has taken root in my city a lot. People from here go to ballparks every time there is a game. They like to have fun and to cheer. Also they do it in order to get together because here almost everybody work during the week.

 

I love to go to ballparks specially when is playing LICEY. It is my favorite team. whenever I go to ballparks I do it with my brother because he likes the licey team too and I love to cheer every time they do something good.

 

Finally baseball is my favorite sport because since I was a baby I have been seen it.

UNIT 1 j-ball

Love for the baseball

Dominicans love baseball, other not at all, but there’s something true. Our players are the best all over the world. By the way, I can illustrate this by mentioning the leads of baseball, some of the most important Dominicans players who are active players and other part of the baseball history already. like Sammy Sosa, Pedro Martinez, Juan Marichal, David Ortiz (the MVP)Christian Adames, Winston Abreu, Fernando Abad and others.

I know that several people agree with me. Anyway, we feel proud when we see the Dominicans be part of the MLB (Mayor League Baseball) to becoming a star.

Overall, Dominicans love the baseball; our players are the best, whether you don’t like it! It is not my business. One example is our participation at the world’s classic baseball. This year we didn’t win. Perhaps, I have the same point of view. We are great!
